Marina’s Holy Grail Makeup Products

In the golden age of internet beauty culture, I was a teenager. All the makeup skills I learned came from YouTubers like itsJudyTime, Shaaanxo, and Michelle Phan. I started out with a thick pot of Kat Von D concealer and a bit of mascara in grade 10, which would seep into the creases of my undereyes. Now, I have collected skills from all over the web, as well as tips from friends and family, to be come somewhat skilled at makeup artistry.

Here are some of my “holy grail”, or longtime favourite products for skin and beauty. Scroll down to tell me yours!

  • Urban Decay – Perversion Mascara
  • RCMA – No Colour Powder
  • Real Techniques – Miracle Complexion Sponge
  • L.A. Girl – Pro Conceal HD Concealer
  • Maybelline – Fit Me Concealer
  • KVD Vegan Beauty – Tattoo Eyeliner
  • Loreal – Pro Glow Foundation
  • Tarte – Tartlette Eyeshadow Palette
  • Morphe – Live in Colour Eyeshadow Palette
  • Becca – Shimmering Skin Perfecter Pressed Highlighter
  • NYX – Slim Lip Pencil (Neutral)
  • NYX – Micro Brow Pencil

Out of this list, if I had to narrow it down to a top three that I can’t live without, it would have to be the brow pencil, highlighter, and LA girl concealer. Those three can create a great everyday look just on their own. Gotta have the glow.

I have become invested in skincare, and actually enjoy doing my routine these days. Here are the products that I love.

  • Deciem – The Ordinary Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA
  • Deciem – The Ordinary 100% Squalene
  • OLEHENRIKSEN – Banana Bright Eye Crème
  • Hourglass – Mineral Veil Primer

One of my favourite hobbies is trying sample packs of skincare items and finding new gems. For example, there is a great brand I found at the Korean Beauty store called Belief – and every product in the promo pack was amazing.
