Doors of Wimbledon

At Christmas I was feeling lonely being away from my family for the first time. One of the most comforting things were the lights and decorations of London.

I documented a few front windows in my area, and it gave me the idea to capture front doors during the day.

There are so many unique facades in Wimbledon, mostly of Victorian or Edwardian houses. They’re gorgeous, and I can’t get enough.

Check out the whole album here. Below are some of my favourite shots.

Statement tiles are also a common motif. Notice the lack of grass.

In my area, you can often see the legacy of when people rode horses.

Bold colours add unique character.

Most people in this area own their homes, so they have free rein to design, whether it matches their neighbour or not.

This is only one slice of a huge, multi-layered urban landscape.
